Rebuild Help

Save your changes to Tutorial1.help.xml, make sure that the compiled help file Tutorial1.chm is closed, and build the project again.

You may want to inspect the generated help file at this point, to check that your changes have been added to the compiled help file.

Test the help

Follow these steps to see the help in action:

1. Start Excel.

2. Using the File/Open... command, open the release build of your XLL.

3. Type =HISTVOL into a cell, and then press CTRL+A to invoke the Excel Formula Wizard.

   

4. Click on the Help on this function link at the bottom left of the Formula Wizard.

   

5. Your updated help page for HISTVOL should now appear.
