The XLL+ Function Wizard Toolbar menu items do not appear in Visual Studio .NET
Issue
When I open Visual Studio .NET or Visual Studio .NET 2003, I cannot see the XLL+ Function Wizard menu items on the Tools menu. How can I make them appear?
Summary
- Ensure that the XLL+ add-in is checked in the Add-in Manager dialog.
- Run the registry file ReCreateCommands.reg.
Add-in Manager
In MS DevStudio, use the Tools - Add-in Manager menu to invoke the Add-in Manager dialog, and ensure that the entry "XLL+ Function Wizard" is checked.
For full instructions, see http://www.planatechsolutions.com/xllplus-online/start_install_net.htm.
Registry file
If the menu items still do not appear, then use the supplied registry file to reinitialize the add-in.
If you are using VS.NET 2003:-
- Close all instances of VS.NET 2003.
- Locate the file ReCreateCommands.reg in the Bin\XlpFnWiz42N1 sub-folder of your XLL+ installation (e.g. C:\Program Files\Planatech\XllPlus\Bin\XlpFnWiz42N1\ReCreateCommands.reg).
- Double-click the file in Windows Explorer to run it; or use the Registry Editor to "Import Registry File...".
- Start VS.NET 2003. The tools should now appear.
If you are using VS.NET 2002:-
- Close all instances of VS.NET 2002.
- Locate the file ReCreateCommands.reg in the Bin\XlpFnWiz42N sub-folder of your XLL+ installation (e.g. C:\Program Files\Planatech\XllPlus\Bin\XlpFnWiz42N\ReCreateCommands.reg).
- Double-click the file in Windows Explorer to run it; or use the Registry Editor to "Import Registry File...".
- Start VS.NET 2002. The tools should now appear.
